Last name Kain, first name Ryan. I’m staring at this blank page, denying that I’m cryin’.
Well, hello everyone and welcome to my blog! I hope that introduction didn’t scare you away, I was just showing off how lame I am at trying to make things interesting.
Anyways, I’m Ryan Kain, that’s my pen name. I’m a 26 year old college student trying to live out his dreams as a writer.
I like to draw, write poetry, and create worlds through the tips of my fingers.
I created this blog not to be the next leading site in blogging tips or how to write stories, but I am here to make sure my writing skills stay crisp and to help others along this sometimes misleading and long path to become a writer.
I’m no expert, but I do pick up tips along the way and if this was an RPG this would be my main quest and I would love if you all were my companions on this journey.
Have a quality day, and make sure to keep those good vibes going!
Now…where is my coffee?
Goals for this site:
To keep my writing skills crisp and improve them if necessary. I want to create a platform off Twitter where I can build an audience and hopefully have some ears to help push along my stories. I want to share my journey with everyone who is interested, and make some friends along the way.
When did I start writing:
I started writing back when I was just a kid. I would write out stories I called “horror stories” and pass them out to any family member that was willing to read them. I would spend hours and hours rewriting my ten page stories so I had enough copies for everyone.
I stopped writing for a long time, but became interested in sixth grade to write and draw my own comics. I would spend every social studies class making edition after edition of my comic book series.
Eventually when I was a senior in High School, I decided that I wanted to start writing for real. I was intrigued by the idea that I can create massive worlds through the tips of my fingers. A feeling that I still can’t get over to this day.
Where can you read my works?:
As of right now, I have nothing published except my poetry which you can find on Hello Poetry.
For years I have written stories only to quit and delete them because I didn’t think they were any good. By now, I have realized that I need to continue practicing, and I can’t let my artistic self esteem get in the way of my writing.
Good writing takes time, but I am working on a few projects which will hopefully be posted on here soon.
